Together We Plant Forests

You contribute Php49 per tree, we replant an ecosystem- no monocrops!
You get Permaculture plans, templates, education & videos to do at home or province.

Farmers plant your tree at our project sites in Cebu, Bohol & Mindanao & you watch it grow through email notifications or in your app or can visit/hike.
Our farmers get trained in permaculture food forests and cash crops forests.
Together we feed, educate, alleviate poverty, increase biodiversity, reverse deforestation, prevent soil erosion, landslides and flooding.

About Us

We are a Cebuano startup with Cebuano founders working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We plant trees for you with the shared goal of healing Cebu province- our permaculture food and cash crop forest are solutions to the biggest environmental, social and economic issues in the history of our planet. We leverage technology to bring together our contributors, who are our tribe, to regenerate depleted land and help even the remotest communities in our province. We will effect massive positive, sustainable change.

Our team has spent their professional lives in education, permaculture and aquaculture. Tannom's CEO, Jensen, graduated with accounting and law degrees from Australia and completed a MBA at Ateneo de Manila University. In 2012, he organised a $23,000 grant from Rotary International to teach permaculture and provide seedlings to Minganillia mountain barangays and PSP Farm, an organic site for rehab of juveniles in trouble with the law and ex-prisoners. Our passionate permaculture expert, Greg, has done permaculture consultancy, design and training in Australia, Africa and Asia transforming lives, regenerating land, and inspiring self-sufficiency. Our aquaculture expert, Kenneth, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture from James Cook University and has experience in pearls, barramundi and prawns working in Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia.

Together, we can take massive steps to solve our county's environmental problems- we need your help to reverse the massive deforestation that has caused landslides, lowered our water table, displaced rural community members, and disrupted ecosystems.

Join us today in planting trees for a sustainable & equitable future

Permaculture

Permaculture, which stands for "permanent agriculture" or "permanent culture," is a holistic approach to designing sustainable and regenerative systems that mimic natural ecosystems. It can play a significant role in addressing the loss of flora and fauna around communities. By incorporating permaculture principles, communities can create resilient and sustainable ecosystems that support the well-being of both flora and fauna. The holistic nature of permaculture design addresses the interconnectedness of all living organisms and their environments, fostering harmony between humans and the natural world. Here's how permaculture principles and practices can help:

Biodiversity Enhancement

  • Permaculture emphasizes planting a diverse range of crops, including native species, to create ecosystems that support a variety of plants and animals.
  • Polyculture and companion planting are common permaculture techniques that contribute to biodiversity by creating habitat niches for different species.

Wildlife Habitat Creation

  • Designing landscapes with a variety of plants, including native species, can provide food and habitat for local wildlife.
  • Incorporating features such as ponds, birdhouses, and wildlife corridors can encourage the presence of diverse fauna.

Water Conservation & Management

  • Permaculture designs often include water catchment and storage systems, swales, and other techniques to optimize water use.
  • By managing water effectively, permaculture helps create a more resilient environment for plants and animals, especially during periods of drought.

Soil Regeneration & Reduced Chemical Inputs

  • Permaculture promotes practices such as cover cropping, mulching, and composting to enhance soil fertility and structure.
  • Healthy soils support a diverse range of microorganisms, which in turn contribute to the overall health of the ecosystem.
  • Permaculture advocates for minimizing or eliminating the use of synthetic chemicals and pesticides, which can have harmful effects on both flora and fauna.
  • Organic and natural farming practices are often integrated into permaculture systems, promoting a healthier environment.

Community Engagement, Education & Awareness

  • Permaculture encourages community involvement in the design and maintenance of local ecosystems.
  • Engaging community members in planting native trees, creating community gardens, and restoring natural habitats fosters a sense of responsibility and connection to the local environment.
  • Permaculture principles emphasize the importance of understanding and observing natural patterns and processes.
  • Education programs and workshops on permaculture can raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and ecological balance.

Regenerative Agriculture

  • Permaculture promotes regenerative agricultural practices that focus on restoring and improving ecosystems.
  • Agroforestry, agroecology, and other sustainable farming methods within permaculture contribute to the conservation of biodiversity.

Our Services

We deliver transformative climate solutions- our subscribers plant new forests and we help our wholesale (corporate clients) invest in projects that are sustainable, socially responsible and mission-related.

Carbon Credit Projects

We develop carbon offset projects that provide massive position impact for social inequality, deforestation and biodiversity loss. Projects go through auditing by regulatory bodies and earn carbon credits. We connect companies to transform the lives of communities at the project sites.

Tree Planting Activities

Contract us to teach permaculture and syntropic agroforesty workshop and lead a tree planting mission for your school, church group, civic service organization, family- no monocrops - biodiversity, food, fruit and cash crop that can be harvested annually for the next 20 years! Videos, guides and courses for participants to use after the activity.

Sustainability/Permaculture Consultancy & Education

Our permacutlure team through Edge5 provides specialized consultants in community regeneration, bringing over 25 years of experience in empowering individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through small-scale farming.

Geoffrey S.N.Kayonde

ADRA Rwanda Country Director

As the Country Director and overseer of the EMBRACE Project in Nyabihu district, I had the pleasure of working as Greg's supervisor when he was contracted here as a PERMACULTURE Expert trainer. Responsible, professional and extremely resourceful, Greg did a commendable job by offering two training sessions, one in 2017 and another in 2018.
With the skills gained the participants became local TOTS (trainer of trainers) who trained over 8,000 community members and helped to establish more than 13,000 Permaculture- based home gardens in 4 sectors of Nyabihu district namely; Karago, Kintobo, Bigogwe and Jenda. This permaculture model became so popular that other areas of Nyabihu also embrace the permaculture techniques of farming.

Communities Assist Project Manager, Tanzania

I am writing to highly recommend Greg Knibbs, Edge5, for their outstanding work in community engagement, consulting, teaching, and promoting permaculture for Communities Assist (CA) at our site in Tanzania. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Greg since 2014 when CA first hired Greg to complete a site analysis and then complete a main frame design and teach our staff permaculture design and its application. I have worked with Greg and witnessed his expertise and dedication firsthand.
Throughout this ongoing works for CA , Greg has demonstrated a deep commitment to sustainable design, training and site development and permaculture principles. He possesses extensive knowledge in the field, and I know of his ongoing works for CA particular his design work for our current outreach project at Sinya school in Tanzania
